Chandler of 100 Farnum St died Oct 16, 1978, Sunday at Jones Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. He was born Nov. 14 1920 in Montour Falls, a son of Percy and Hazel Chandler. Mr. Chandler had graduated from Wellsville High School. He had been employed at Turbodyne Corporation for 38 years and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the United States Air Force Reserves for many years and a member of the USAF Sergeants Association. He was a member and past commander of the Morrison Hayes American Legion Post No. 702 here. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah A Lyman, two stepson, Robert Blose of Allison, Park, Pa. And David Cockwood of Bolivar, five grandchildren, tow great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jeannette Hubbard of Phoenix; a nephew. Friends may call at the J. W. Embser sons Funeral Home in Wellsville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday where Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wellsville. Memorials.
