Smith died Dec 6 1978 NUNDA -- Glenn W. Smith, 86, of Wyoming, died Wednesday Dec 6 1978 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born in the town of Allen, Allegany County and had lived in the Short Tract-Dalton area for most of his life. He moved to the Village of Wyoming two years ago where he made his home with a son. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by two sons, Edward of Wyoming and Richard of Portageville; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Edwards of Nunda and Mrs. Lillian Clark of Dalton; three brothers, William Smith and Lyman Smith, both of Angelica; and Gordon Smith of Rochester; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Duryea Funeral Home, Nunda from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Friday, where a funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Glenn Bucher officiating. Burial will be in Short Tract Cemetery. ---- SMITH - Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in his memory.
