    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Smtford Surnames: HORNER, WORTZER, NOBLE Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.allegany/9918.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I cannot place your younger Timothy, although I see him on the Allegany death index. The Beers book talks about the older Timothy, born in 1772 in New Jersey, married Rachel Wortzer, and was the father of George Wortzer Horner. It says: "George W. Horner was born in NJ in 1808. His father Timothy Horner, was from that state and was by trade a blacksmith; and his mother, whose maiden name was Rachel Wirtser, was of German descent. Mr. Horner is a millwright. He settled in Amity in 1823, locating on 3 acres of land where he now lives (1879) He married Harriet Noble, a native of Washington County, whose mother is living in Amity at the age of 93." I have the death date for Timothy as 6 Nov. 1851, for Rachel 9 June 1849. I did not have the cemetery reference for Windus Cemetery. I have only three children for them: Mary (1803), George W. (1808) and Levi (1811) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
