Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.allegany/1378.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: In the message I just left in regards to George Grow and Ruth Cornell, Sarah Cornwell/Cornell, the wife of Nathaniel Grow II, was buried in Alfred, NY, after she died in Yates County, NY. I have never understood why they took her body to Alfred, which borders on the PA border, unless her family/parents had been buried there. Or was there another reason, such as possibly belonging the the Seventh Day Adventist Church or Dutch Reformed, which obviously has strong Dutch roots, who were the founders the state of New York.
