He was born Sept 29, 1906, the son of Mrs Frank (Edith) Carlin, now of Galeton, Pa., and the late Mr Carlin. He had resided in Friendship for a number of years. Mr Carlin was a steamfitter by trade. He attended the Knights Creek Church, Scio. In addition to his mother and widow, the former Leona B Carney, Mr Carlin is survived by four sons, Larry and Lonnie both of Cuba, William D of Princeville, Ore., and Thomas J. of Friendship; a sister Mrs Clifford (Ethel) Stocum of Scio; a brother, Virgil Carlin of Wellsville, and nine grandchildren. Friends are being recieved at the Brown Funeral Home, Galeton, starting at 7 p.m. today. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev Richard Morrison, pastor of the Knights Creek and the Nile Community churches.
