The 1900 census lists birth months, so Grace was born in Sept. 1879 and Ross (listed as Fischer) in April 1881. They are living next door to Ross's family: John Fisher (Mar. 1832), Florence (Dec.1851) and Catherine (Oct. 1888). The Minard history of Allegany gives another child of John Fisher as Sarah (Mrs. George Castiday of Lincoln Nebraska in 1896). I tried to locate a 9-month-old Grace for you in 1880, but I guess she wasn't in Allegany County at that early date. The only Grace born in Sept. 1879 (and living in Allegany County in 1880) was Grace Smith, but she is still listed as single with her father Judson in 1900.
