He was born about 1852 and raised by James and Dorcas Wright. He may have been left in Almond or Alfred, NY around that time. They named him Frederick Hartshorn Wright and there are no Hartshorns any place to our knowledge in the family. Any information would be so much appreciated. I have been searching for his birth parents for years as he was my husband's great grandfather. He was an oil driller and lived later in Almond, NY where he died.
