Hope Cemetery, Friendship. >From the list of children, I assuming the names came from the 1865 NY State Friendship transcription on the Allegany Co., website. Although I was unable to find Joseph (or Abel for that matter) in the 1860 Federal Census, I did find both of them in the 1850 Census in Friendship, visitation 3 is Abel Reynolds and family, while visitation 5 is J.P. Reynolds and family. I'd guess it was highly likely that Abel and Joseph were brothers. The 1850 Census lists Edwin and Amelia, adds a daughter Mary E., age 6 (born abt. 1843), Flavilla J., age 4, probably Florilla J in 1865, and Fanny M., age 1, probably Frances M. in 1865. Also living with Joseph and Eveline in 1850 is Eveline's brother Wm. A. Hart. Joseph and Eveline Reynolds and William Akers Hart arrived in Friendship in March 1842 according to "Allegany County and its people". Prior to that time they were in Tompkins County, NY. Joseph and Eveline were married ca. 1840. Bill Hart Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
