Don and Ilou also did books on all the WNY and Central NY churches. I have them all. Jerry DeGroff's cards may still be in his daughter's possession. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barbara Bernstein To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2008 3:35 PM Subject: Re: [NYALLEGA] NYALLEGA Digest, Vol 3, Issue 6 Re:Seventh Day Coverage in the book by Don Sanford covered the Seventh Day Church of Alfred only. I loaned my copy to someone from the Seventh Day Church in Alfred Station and they said that it did not cover their church. It did cover anyone in Almond either. Mr. DeGrof who lived in the town of Genesee told me that he had made card for the historical society there covering data on the people of the church. Unfortunatly Mr. DeGroff died but the historical society there would know where his data is held. The Almond Historical society is open on Friday afternoons at the Hagadorn House which is at the one stop light in town. They have much data on the Prior family that someone else was looking into. Six members of the Prior family were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. Thirteen members of the Prior family were buried in the Bishopville. Bishopville is in North Almond. The people at the Hagadorn House have files on families. They are very helpful.I worked for them for many years.
