They are both buried in the SDB Circle of Ministers in Westerly RI. They had 5 children including Rowland Coon and Nancy Coon. Nancy is my gr gr gr grandmother. Rowland married Sarah Tefft and I have 3 children listed for them, Lorenzo (1817 - ????), Alonzo B. Coon (3 Jan 1820 - 21 Nov 1891), and Melissa D. Coon (18 jul 1822 - 1 dec 1860). Rowland Coon came to Genesee and settled on Coon Hollow road. Rowland pretty much cut his farm out of the wilderness. Rowland's son Alonzo B. Coon reamined with his father pretty much until Rowland died and then moved to the Kenyon farm near Fiendship NY with his wife. Rowland is buried in the Little Rhode Island cemetery in Little Genesee. That cemetery is all related except one or two. Melissa married Danforth Fairbank. She died at 38 years and is buried with her father and mother. Now for Lorenzo. How do I know that his name was Lorenzo ? well, he and his wife have two children buried in the West Genesee (Obi) cemetery who died before they left Genesee. The MOST ACCURATE information I have ever found are gravestones of children. There is no mother in the world that would allow any mistakes on their children's stones. And the name on both stones is LORENZO. I have lost all track of Lorenzo after he and his wife left the area. It sure would be nice to have an up date on him for this area.
