I just finished reading the Fowler information on your website and now I find there's even more.... Before I get sidetracked with your news about Sarah, I did want to let you know some interesting census info: in the 1850 Birdsall, Allegany NY census, Charles Weed, 18, is living with Shubel and Sarah; then in the 1860 Birdsall, Allegany census, Margaret Weed, 90, is living with them. No relationship is given in either case. I did notice that Weed is one of your surnames and thought, perhaps, there's some kind of relationship involved. Also, from the Fowler info you have it appears there's a chance that Abel could be Benjamin's brother and Shubel's father. I'll see if I can find anything more on Abel. Your website, by the way, is an inspiration -- very user friendly and filled with useful details, neat stories, and exact sources. I wish more of my people had crossed paths with yours. Westcott is one of my lines, but it's fairly well established -- straight from RI to PA to TN. I look forward to hearing what you've found out about Sarah.
