Just came across your message. I am also researching Lorenzo Brown. I think that his first wife was Laura Crandall. 1850 census children adlebert, lucius (I think it is really Lucien) and Mariah. 1860 Wife is Mary M , children are albert and Lucien. I am thinking that Laura and Mariah died sometime in 1854. and he remarried Mary and they had a daughter Laura. I may be wrong about the connection. Our lucien was born March 21 1846 his birth place was hornell ny which is very near independence. any info would be appreciated.
