ARTHUR BROOKS J. Arthur BROOKS of 16 Willits Ave. Belmont, died May 20, 1973, at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, following a long illness. Born in Rushford on October 29, 1905, a son of R. Talcott and Mabel MORGAN BROOKS, he married the former Margaret KINGSLEY, who survives. A resident of Belmont for the past six years, Mr. BROOKS had previously resided in Scio and Mt. Vernon. Surviving, in addition to his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. William (Jane) McKEE of Pennsylvania and Mrs. James (Cynthia) KNOX of Rochester; a son, Talcott K. BROOKS of Almey, Md.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A 1927 graduate of Cornell University, Mr. BROOKS was a retired engineer of the Air Preheater Co. of Wellsville. He was a member of the First United Belmont Church; the Free and Accepted Masons and the Corning Consistory; past president of the Belmont Rotary Club; and Supervisor for the Town of Scio from 1964 to 1968. Funeral services will be held at the Embser Funeral Chapel, Belmont, on May 22, 1973, with the Rev. Walter CONNOR of the First Belmont United Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rushford Cemetery.
