BRIGGS Roy A. BRIGGS, born in East Koy, June 7, 1895, died at his home in Wiscoy where he had lived most of his life, Tuesday, December 11, 1962. He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian McCOLL, of Gainesville, New York; one son, Lionel, of Portageville, New York; a sister, Mrs. Julia CHAPMAN, now of Wiscoy; two granddaughters, nieces and cousins. Roy had been a member of the Masons, Oriona Grove Lodge, F. and A.M. since 1917. He had been employed most of his active life on the Pennsylvania and Erie Railroads. He had been retired since 1956, at which time he sustained an injury while at work and was forced to retire. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Funeral services were held at the Kopler Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friday the 14th, and burial will be made at East Koy Cemetery. [Transcribed by Louise Y.
