DeROCK, Sr. Final rites for William J. DeROCK, Sr., 66, Caneadea Town Highways Department Superintendent, will be conducted at the Wolcott Funeral Home, Belfast. Mr. DeROCK was stricken by a fatal heart attack September 11, 1962, while supervising a crew at work on Pinkerton Hill Road. The Rev. Everett HENDRICKSON, pastor of the Belfast Methodist Church, will conduct the service. Visitation is being held at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oramel Cemetery. Mr. DeROCK, a native and lifelong Town of Caneadea resident, previously had been associated with the state Public Works Department. A son of the late John J. DeROCK and Grace JOHNSON DeROCK, Mr. DeRock married the former Bernice WAGGONER January 15, 1919. Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons; Charles DeROCK of Oramel and William DeROCK, Jr. of Cuba; five daughters, Mrs. Eva McGRAW of Kill Buck, Mrs. Jean GIBNEY of Belfast, Mrs. Helen AUSTIN of Angelica, Mrs. Joyce WHITE and Mrs. Susan SLACK, both of Belfast; 23 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
