DOREY passed away suddenly Monday evening, December 17, 1962, at his home near Short Tract in the Town of Allen. He was born August 5, 1884, son of Albert and Ophelia BOSS DOREY, and lived his entire life in the community. Although he had very poor health most of his life, he operated a small farm. He enjoyed visiting his neighbors and friends and was always interested in all projects for the betterment of his community. He joined the Methodist Church here in 1917. A brother, George, and a sister, Mrs. Lina GOWDY preceded him in death. His sister made her home with him for several years. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Fern BENNETT, several nieces and nephews, a number of cousins and many friends. His funeral was held in the Short Tract Methodist Church Friday afternoon, December 21, the Rev. J. Whitney SHEA officiating, with interment in the cemetery here.
