Y., was almost instantly killed a few days ago when she ran in front of an automobile driven by a Corning man. The little girl attempted to cross the street when she tripped and fell in the car's path. She lived but a few minutes after the accident, dying as the result of a punctured lung. Both collar bones were broken and the first and second ribs on her right side were broken, one of them puncturing the lung. The child is a grandchild of Mrs. Charles McCallum of Farmington.
