Beardsley Sr. FILLMORE - John W. BEARDSLEY Sr. of Fillmore RD2, died at Cuba Memorial Hospital Tuesday (March 31, 1970) after a brief illness. Born in Fillmore, July 16, 1881, he was a son of Alfonso and Hannah MOORE BEARDSLEY. On April 2, 1905, in Fillmore, he had been married to the former Maude SUMERISKI, who died in 1959. Mr. BEARDSLEY was a retired farmer and had been a lifelong resident. Survivors include five sons, Walter BEARDSLEY, Byron BEARDSLEY, George BEARDSLEY, John W. BEARDSLEY Jr. and Gerald BEARDSLEY, all of the Town of Hume; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Florence) SCHULT of Spencerport, Mrs. Nathan (Jean) VOLK of Fillmore and Mrs. Merle (Wilma) SHATTUCK of Pike; 33 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary TABER of Largo, Fla. Friends may call at the Kopler Funeral Home, Fillmore, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held there Thursday (April 2, 1970) at 2p.m. with the Rev. Charles SNELL, pastor of the Hume Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Alger Cemetery in the Town of Hume. [Transcribed by Louise Y.
