Hello Everyone: I am searching for information on my PENDERGAST ancestors, James and Johanna, both born in Ireland, probably around 1800. I have a photograph of their gravestone in Angelica. I do not know the name of the cemetery, although if there is more than one in Angelica, it would probably be a Catholic cemetery. On this stone are these words: "Underneath lies the bodeys of James Pendergast and his wife Johanna who died the years 1863 to 1868. Natives of Ireland. Birthdates unknown." Does anyone have an idea of where I might look for anything I can learn about this couple? I have searched the 1860 census for Angelica, but they are not in it. There are many Pendergasts in Livingston County at this time, but these two in Allegany County are elusive. They are my g-g grandparents. Thanks for your help.
