My Gr-Grandmother,Viola Scouten, was living with him and his wife,Sarah, in 1870. Her name then was Viola Tompkins. She was living next door with the Spicer family in 1880 in Lisle. Viola was full-blood Native American. My Great Aunt on Viola's side was Ella Pittsley who married Perla Willey in Tompkins County in 1907. Ella had a brother named Myron who eventually settled in Utica,Oneida,NY. He was married to Mildred Gregory. She had two children from a first marriage to a gentleman surnamed "Harter."
