POTTER Funeral and committal services were held Tuesday, May 29, 1973, at the Davis Funeral Home for Clark H. POTTER, of 4 1/2 W. Main Street, Friendship, who was found dead in his home Saturday, May 26, 1973, of an apparent heart attack. The Rev. Ralph HUTCHINSON, pastor of the Allentown United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Friendship. Born in the Town of Wirt on December 18, 1899, he was a son of Winfield and Grace HOLTOM POTTER. In 1924 he married the former Lillian DODSON, who survives. He had lived in Friendship most of his life. Mr. POTTER had operated Potter's Barbershop of Friendship since 1933. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 119 of Olean; Past Master and 50-year member of the Allegany Lodge 225, F. and A.M.; a life member of the Allegany County Volunteer Firemen's Association; the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department and the Friendship Rod and Gun Club. Mr. Potter had served in the Marines for three years. Surviving in addition to his widow are a Daughter, Mrs. Henry (Peggy) VanGEMART, of Palmetto, Fla.; a son, Clark JACQUES POTTER, of Orchard Park; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. James (Mildred) WYMAN of Fonda, Mrs. M.D. (Winifred) WITHERIL of Buffalo and Mrs. Joseph (Ortense) DUFFY of Basel, Switzerland; a brother, William POTTER of Rutherford, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
