HATCH, wife of Chas. HATCH, passed away at her home in Centerville, Sunday, August 15, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held from her late home Wednesday, Rev. Mae SHAFFER officiating, with burial in the Centerville cemetery. Lena GREEN, daughter of the late Samuel and Alma GREEN, was born in the town of Centerville, Nov. 14, 1874, her girlhood being spent in that vicinity. In 1897 she was married to Louis B. LOYSTER, who departed from this life Jan. 8, 1923. To this marriage three daughters were born, Mrs. Marion KING, Centerville; Mrs. Ruby ROGERS, Delevan; and Mrs. Alma FIEGL, Blaisdell. After a period of time she married Chas. HATCH, who, with her daughters, survive her. Mrs. HATCH was a loyal wife, a beloved mother, and had made a host of friends in the past fifty years of married life. She was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Higgins and of the WH&FM Society of the same church. Besides her husband and daughters, Mrs. HATCH is survived by a sister, Mrs. John MINER of Castile, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one nephew and one niece. The beautiful floral pieces from friends, relatives, and various organizations paid silent homage to the esteem in which she was held. [Northern Allegany Observer obituary, transcribed by Louise Y.
