FRANKLIN Charles B. FRANKLIN, a former Caneadea resident, died Thursday, April 8, 1971, at the Wellsville Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born in the Town of Caneadea, September 1, 1883, a son of Daisy and Eva FRANKLIN. At Cuba, August 1906, he was married to the former Lucia BURR, who died in 1952. For many years Mr. FRANKLIN was post master of the Caneadea Post Office, retiring 25 years ago. Mr. FRANKLIN was a member of the United Methodist Church; Civil Service Employees Association; Caneadea Grange; and was a 60-year member of the Western Union Lodge 146, F. & A. M. of Belfast. Survivors include a son, Charles B. FRANKLIN II of Salamanca; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie SHERMAN and Mrs. Eva KARN, both of Cuba and Mrs. Nora CHAMBERLAIN of St. Petersburg, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Wolcott Funeral Home, 65 Main St. Belfast, where the family will be present Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held there Sunday, April 11, 1971, at 2 p. m. with the REV. Paul E. NEWCOMB, minister of the Belfast Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Belfast.
