Smith 1938 Mrs. Maria S. SMITH, 83, of Fillmore died Saturday morning in Washington D. C. where she went last September to spend the winter with her daughter, Berdine. She had been in failing health for several months. The remains were brought here Monday and funeral services were held at Kopler's Funeral Parlors, Hume, Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, Rev. Leonard TRAVIS of Belfast officiating. Interment was made in Pine Grove Cemetery. Mrs. SMITH moved to Fillmore in 1918 from East Rochester where she lived for two years after leaving her farm near Pike. For the past several years she has spent the winter months in Washington D. C.
