Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Floyd of Dalton and Merlin of Fillmore and a step-daughter, Mrs. Onalee BEDORE, of Buffalo. Funeral services were held Tuesday with prayer at the house at 1:30 and services at the Dalton M. E. Church at 2:00 o'clock. The Masonic service was also held at the church. Burial was made in Short Tract cemetery. Charles ESS was born in the town of Grove, later moving to Fink Hollow in the town of Allen where he spent most of his life before removing to Dalton in 1920. His first wife was Ida ISAMAN who died Sept. 24, 1910 and he later married Adda M. REDMAN who survives. [Northern Allegany Observer Article, transcribed by Louise Y.
