Hoisington 1939 William H. HOISINGTON, 79, one of the long-time residents of Fillmore, passed away at his home Monday, following an illness which confined him to his bed for several days. Mr. HOISINGTON was born in what was called the "Old Red Tavern," which stood on the site of the present Fillmore Hotel, in 1859. When he was 13 years of age he moved with his parents into the house on West Main Street in which he has made his home ever since, and died. On March 23, 1886, he was married to Calista STREETER and to the couple were born three children, two of whom survive besides his wife. They are Mrs. N.M. WELLS of Middleport and Mrs. S.A. LAUX of Detroit, Michigan. A daughter Dora, died in 1918. There are also left five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at his late home Thursday at two o'clock, Rev. Harold WASS officiating and burial was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore.
