My name is Jim Norton and I currently researching Wesley L. BURRELL. He was found in the 1920 Federal Census in Allegany Township, Potter Co, PA. as owning a farm. In the 1930 Federal Census, he is living in Allegany Township, Cattaraugus Co. NY, having sold the farm and is working as an oil pumper on an oil lease. Apparently during the decade from 1920 to 1930, he moved his family from Potter Co., PA. to Cattaraugus Co., NY to seek employment in the oil fields. There are three families with the BURRELL surname living on, what looks like Harrisburg Run in Cattaraugus Co. Would anyone have more information on this family and the location of Harrisburg Run.
