WINCHIP of West Main Street, Fillmore, died at her home Thursday, August 8, 1968, following a long illness. She was born February 25, 1901, in Lincoln, a daughter of Ernest and Mabel PEACOCK ESLEY. She married CLAIR WINCHIP, who died April 24, 1963. Mrs. WINCHIP was a former teacher in the Fillmore High School having graduated from the University of Rochester. She was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church and its Woman's Society of Christian Service; the Fillmore Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; the Wide Awake Club; and was an honorary member of the Silver Lake Country Club. Survivors include three sons, Fred WINCHIP of Fillmore, David WINCHIP of Rochester and Joel WINCHIP, serving with the Army at Fort Hamilton, N.Y.; twelve grandchildren, two sisters, Miss Joan ESLEY of Walworth, and Mrs. Gordon (Mabel) MATHEWS of Rochester; a brother, Ernest ESLEY of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Kopler Funeral Home on Saturday from 7 to 10 p. m. only. Funeral services will be held at the Fillmore United Methodist Church Sunday, August 11, 1968, at 2 p. m. The Rev. Burdette FULLER, minister of the Fillmore United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery at Fillmore. [Transcribed by Louise Y.
