PETER HOLLISTER CANEADEA _ - Mrs. Mattie HOLLISTER, a resident of Caneadea for 40 years, died today (April 18, 1970) at Cuba Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since April 7th. She was born May 23, 1887, in Corydon, Pa., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank BUTLER. She married Peter HOLLISTER, who died in 1959. Mrs. HOLLISTER was a member of the Caneadea United Methodist Church and its Ladies Aide Society; and the Caneadea Grange. Surviving are three sons, Alfred HOLLISTER of Demming, N. Mex., Paul HOLLISTER of Caneadea and Merle HOLLISTER of Bolivar; a sister, Miss Mina FREDENBERG of Niles, Ohio, and a half-sister, Mrs. Edna GREEN of New York City; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Wolcott Funeral Home, 65 Main St., Belfast, after 7 p.m. today and all day Sunday. Funeral services will be held there Monday (April 20, 1970) at 2 p.m. The Rev. Dwight MONTGOMERY, pastor of the Caneadea United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Belfast. [Transcribed by Louise Y.
