SKIFF, for many years a well known business man of Hume before he took up his residence in California several years ago, was held Tuesday afternoon in the Hume M.E. Church, Rev. C.L. CARPENTER of Short Tract officiating. His death occurred Saturday in Rochester after an illness of more than a year, at the age of 68. Burial was made at the Alger Cemetery under the auspices of Oriona Lodge, No. 229, F & AM. Besides his wife, Mr. SKIFF is survived by a daughter Mrs. Mir-- DUNLAP, of Campbell, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. L.R. SLUSSER, Mrs. Frank CLOSSER of Bliss, and Mrs. Arthur ADAMS of Ithaca. Mr. SKIFF who was a descendant of one of the pioneer settlers in the town, mentioned in all early histories of the county, was for years a successful undertaker and furniture dealer in Hume.
