Taylor 1938 or 39 Irving H. TAYLOR, 61, respected citizen and business man of this community, died suddenly at his home in Fillmore last Thursday evening. His death was a distinct shock to everyone in this section as he had been a resident here with his family for twenty years, and his friends were legion. For several years he was employed by the W.E. ROBBINS hardware and later engaged in the plumbing and heating business on his own accord. He was known as an expert workman and this fact together with his genial disposition, made his services in demand throughout a wide area. Funeral services were held from his late home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Harold WASS of the Fillmore M.E. Church officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Marion ALLEN of Penn Yan, a sister, brother and several cousins. Mr. TAYLOR was a long time member of the Fillmore IOOF lodge and members of the Order attended the services in a body. [Northern Allegany Observer obituary, transcribed by Louise Y.
