Wiscoy John Floyd Caryl,whose tragic death was noted in last week's items,was born in South Warsaw on June 23,and died January 5,1916,being at his death 19 years,6 months and 12 days of age. He was a young man of an amiable,energetic,happy and congenial dispostion,an active member of the Epworth League and a probationary member of the Wiscoy church,a member of the Knights of the Maccabees,Tent No.208,of this place. He is survived by an aged grandmother,Mrs.Grace Brimecomb,his parents Mr. and Mrs.H.J.Caryl of this place and one sister Mrs. Frances Hamer of Fillmore. The funeral services took place from the M.E.church on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.there being a large attendance. Rev.E.A.Overton from Ellicittville delivered an impressive sermon. He was assisted by Rev.W.F.Lewis,pastor of this church. THe words spoken by Rev.Overton were of comfort and sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives. Interment took place on the family lot in Wiscoy Rural cemetery,beside a brother and! sister who departed this life several years ago. the family have the deep sympathy of this entire community in their bereavement. May they seek comfort and consolation from their heavenly Father who knoweth best,with the assurance that their loved one has only gone before to rest in Heaven I found this obituary in my mother's Bible.
