LYMAN, 36, passed away early Wednesday morning at his home in Fillmore after a long period of illness. In January of this year he was stricken with his last sickness and after a few months spent in a Mt. Morris hospital, he returned to his home here and has since been confined to the bed. Handicapped by ill health during the past few years, he displayed a remarkable fortitude and continued to pursue the work in his chosen field - the advertising business - until forced to give up. A wide acquaintance over a large area and natural ability enabled him to follow this vocation with success. He had occupied responsible positions in the advertising business in Buffalo and Rochester, and at one time acted as European representative of a large advertising firm. Richard LYMAN was a graduate of the Fillmore High School, class of 1922, and he also attended Houghton College and the University of Pennsylvania. On January 15, 1935 he married Miss Clarice FOLGER of Rossburg who devotedly assisted in caring for him during his long siege of sickness. Besides his wife, he leaves his parents Dr. and Mrs. A.H. LYMAN, and a brother, Dr. Robert LYMAN, of Fillmore. Funeral services which will be private, will be held from the home Saturday, October 29th, Rev. Frank WRIGHT of Houghton officiating.
