WINGERT Bruce J. WINGERT, of Eaton, RD 1, formerly of Caneadea, died today, May 23, 1970, in the Hamilton Community Hospital in Hamilton following a brief illness. Mr. WINGERT was born in the Town of Caneadea, June 24, 1928, a son of Wallace J. and Gladys HERKIMER WINGERT. On July 13, 1963, in Buffalo, he married the former Janet ROWAT, who survives. He attended Houghton College and graduated from Cornell University in 1949 with a B. S. degree in Horticulture. Mr. WINGERT was a Professor of Ornamental Horticulture at Morrisville Agriculture and Technical College. He was a member of the Morrisville Community Church; Farm Bureau; and the Caneadea Grange 1139. Surviving in addition to his widow, are two daughters, Miss Ann Lorraine WINGERT and Miss Allison Helen WINGERT, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Esther) CURREN of Allegany; and three brothers, Robert E. WINGERT of Cobleskill, Glenn H. WINGERT of Caneadea, and Leonard I. WINGERT of Tampa, Florida. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. at the Wolcott Funeral Home, 65 Main Street, Belfast. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday, May 26, 1970, at 2 p. m.
