Lucile HOWDEN, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.S. HOWDEN of Fillmore, was born near this place and spent nearly all her life here until her marriage to Mr. HURLBUT, following which she with her husband moved to Delevan where he holds the position of principal of the Delevan High School. She graduated from Fillmore High School in 1922 and attended Cornell University for a brief time before her marriage, completing a course in domestic science. Besides her husband and her parents, she leaves three small children, a sister, Mrs. Clifford WATSON, and three brothers, Ray C., Leon F., and Wesley M. HOWDEN. Funeral services were held at her late home in Delevan Thursday at 1:30, Rev. Harold WASS officiating and interment was made in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore.
