The obit says she was the wife of Walter Boyd who died in 1921 and does not mention another husband. The Boyds lived at 244 Madison, which is close to the intersection of Pearl St and Madison St. Jesse Backes lived a little farther uphill and on the other side of Madison St. I have a 1949 Tax Map and I cannot read the street number for Jesse Backes.
