They had the following children: Della born in 1904, John born in 1906, Richard born in 1907, Mark born in 1909. I'm particularly interested in his wife Jessie. I could be wrong, but I believe that Jessie goes on to marry Jacob Christopher Backes. I don't know if there was a separation, or divorce, or if Walter died. In 1923 Jacob's wife Helen (Wolfe) Backes died. So, sometime between 1923 and 1939 Jacob marries Jessie. Jacob died in 1939. So, I'm wondering what happened to Jessie? Any help is appreciated.
