WINFRED C. PERO Rev. Winfred C. PERO, 39 S. Broad Street, Wellsville, died at Jones Memorial Hospital here soon after admission on Wednesday, May 5, 1965. He had lived in Wellsville since 1941 after retiring from the Methodist ministry. He was born December 22, 1887, in Caneadea, a son of Calvin and Mary SHARP PERO. He was married January 10, 1918, to Clara PERHAM, who survives. Besides his widow, he leaves two Sons, Richard PERO of Syracuse and PAUL PERO of Statesville, N.C.; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy HAMILTON of Ulysses, Pa., Mrs. Mary PHILLIPSON of Allentown, Mrs. Pauline Murray of Victor, and Mrs. Grace GEFFERS of Wellsville; and 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. PERO was a member of the Wellsville First Methodist Church. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the family home where a prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 1965. Funeral and committal services will follow at the Wellsville First Methodist Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. Earl WINTERS, Olean District Superintendent, will be assisted by the Rev. Glenn E. MOSHER, pastor of the First Methodist Church, and the Rev. Samuel W. McGARVEY, pastor of the Wellsville Christian and Alliance Church. Burial will be in Houghton, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First Methodist Church of Wellsville or the David A. Howe Library in Wellsville. [Transcribed by Louise Y.
