COOLEY Cassie M. COOLEY passed away at the home of his son Leland, near Fillmore, January 1, 1951, after a long illness. Mr. COOLEY was born in Lyndon, Cattaraugus County, October 28, 1875, one of six children of Melville and Mary MITCHELL COOLEY. All but one sister, Mrs. Margaret PIKE of Olean, preceded him in death. He was married on November 14, 1905, to Ina M. CURTIS of Castile, who passed away on September 5, 1949. They were the parents of one son, Leland, who survives, with three grandsons. His early manhood was spent in Lyndon, moving to a farm in the township of Gainesville in 1912. They moved to the farm of their son in 1939. Funeral services were held in the Pike Baptist Church on January 4th, the Rev. Reuben STRONG, officiating. Burial was in Alger Cemetery. [Northern Allegany Observer obituary, transcribed by Louise Y.
