GAYFORD, of Hume, died Wednesday, July 11, 1973, in the Olean General Hospital. Born in Friendship, April 9, 1911, she was the daughter of Ellis and Esther WARD SCOTT. She married Richard GAYFORD, who survives. Mrs. GAYFORD was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, 491, of Hume. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Eugene GAYFORD of Rushford and Gerald GAYFORD, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert CLUTE of Hume and Mrs.Leigh BAILEY of Hornell; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Albert SCOTT of Florida; and a sister, Mrs. Blanche BRAYMAN of Hume; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the Kopler Funeral Home, Fillmore, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held there Saturday, July 14, 1973 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship.
