Seeking information on marriage of George H. Dickerson and Alice Mae Champlin, 22 February 1889 at the Methodist Church, Ceres, NY/PA. Trying to find Marriage license. Do you know if there is a way to determine where, in the church, they were married? New York side? or Pennsylvania side? Hoping, if I know which side, I can find where the marriage license was issued. I have a lot of information on the Champlin side, but little or nothing on the Dickerson side. Leo Leroy Dickinson (sic), b. 10/13/1889, Ceres) was the son of George and Alice Mae. Don't know if name change was a error in spelling or an accident. Still wondering which is correct. I found George H. Dickerson, b. 18 Jan 1867 in Farmer's Valley, Ceres, PA and died 1946; buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship, Allegany County, NY. He was the son of Charles William Dickerson and Olive A. Treat (or Price). The info. shows he married Addie Johnson ( and had one son Mark Eugene Dickerson, b. 8/11/1894) and Edith Corbin. Was this George H. Dickerson the person married to Alice Mae Champlin? I will be in Allegany County from 24 July 2003 through 29 July 2003. (flying into Rochester on 23rd and out of Rochester on the 30th). Doing a lot of searching, so I hope you can help me.
