ROCK GERE Mrs. Mary A. GERE, 86, of 33 Sherman Street, Belfast, died November 30, 1973, in Cuba Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Caneadea, the former Mary A. ROCK was married to Frank L. GERE in 1958. Mr. GERE died in April 1973. A resident of Cuba for 15 years, Mrs. GERE moved to Belfast earlier this year. She was a graduate of Belfast Training Class and Cornell University. Mrs. GERE was a retired school teacher who had served Belfast, Caneadea, and Wiscoy schools for 50 years prior to her retirement in 1955. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Belfast; its Rosary and Altar Society; and the New York State Retired Teacher's Association. Survivors include two sisters, Miss Rose R. ROCK and Mrs. Marguerite WARD, both of Belfast, and a nephew. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Murken Funeral Home, formerly the Wolcott Funeral Home, Belfast, where a prayer service and recitation of the Rosary will take place on December 3, 1973. A funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Patricks Church, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Belfast.
