Hello Jeanine, On page 620 in the section about Burns: Veterans of the War -- the town of Burns contributed its quota of men in the Union Army during the War of Rebellion... members of the 136th N.Y. at present residents of the town are:...Isaac Witherell. Hello. I was wondering if anyone has a Ann Jannet(Janet) Witherell? Ann was born in 1825 in CT/VT and died in 1897. Somehow the Downing name is connected to Ann also. I don't know if Ann's mother was a Witherell and then married a Downing or was a Downing and then married a Witherell...... Ann lived in New York and later moved to Ashtabula County Ohio. Thank you.
