Belle's grandfather, David GRANGER, b. 1779 Washington Co. NY - d. 19 Sept. 1844 Pike, Allegany Co. NY; his father, Zaccheus GRANGER, b. 21 Nov 1733 Westfield, Hampden Co. MA - d. abt. 1812 Skaneatles, Onondaga Co. NY. My SMITH family also goes back to Onondaga and Washington Co.'s NY. LDS records have Lawrence SMITH, b. abt. 1849; Bell GRANGER, b. abt 1853 - ages don't match 1892 NY State Census, but I'm sure it's them. In 1892, Lawrence SMITH, 38 (b. abt. 1854) & Belle (GRANGER) SMITH, 32 (b. abt. 1860) are listed in the household of John & Adelphia E. (ROSE) SMITH in Hume, Allegany Co. NY.
