McINTOSH Kenneth P. McINTOSH, 70, well known funeral director of the Halwig Funeral Home Inc., for the past 33 years, died Tuesday evening, November 20, 1962, at Olean General Hospital, after an illness of five months. His home was at 317 North Clinton Street, Olean. Mr. MCINTOSH was born April 30, 1892, at Oramel, New York, a son of Cassius A. and Minerva WILDER McINTOSH. He was graduated from Belfast, New York High School and Westbrook Commercial Academy of Olean. He was first employed by the Texas Co., in Tulsa, Oklahoma and served in World War I in the 38th Co. Quartermaster Corps. U.S.A. In 1925 he came to Olean, taking up the study of mortuary science and then became associated with the Halwig Funeral Home Inc., as embalmer and funeral director. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gladys HOLT McINTOSH and a daughter, Miss Enid G. McINTOSH at home; a son, Rex A. McINTOSH, presently a student at the Simmons School of Mortuary Science, Syracuse, New York, and a step-son Carl E. McFARLAND of Oakland, California. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Tacie) HILL and Mrs. Walter J. (Laura) TENNENT, both of Belfast, New York, and Mrs. Harry F. (Mary) HALWIG of Olean; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. MCINTOSH was a member of the First Methodist Church of Olean, and of its Married Couples Club; also a member of Olean Post No. 530, American Legion. Friends may call after 7 p.m. this evening at the Halwig Funeral Home Inc. and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral and committal services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 1962, with the Rev. Leonard P. IVES, minister of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Methodist Church, or to the Heart Fund. [Transcribed by Louise Y.
