She was married to Max J. LAHR of Allegany, New York on January 3, 1885. After a long illness, Mrs. LAHR passed away at her home in Fillmore, December 2, 1949. Funeral services were held at the home with the Rev. Mae SHAFFER, officiating. Burial at Cuba, New York. Had Mrs. LAHR lived until January 3, they would have been married 65 years. She is survived by her husband, Max LAHR; two sons, Forest L. of Fillmore and John M. of Forningdale (Farmingdale), New York; one grandson, Jack MILLER LAHR; two nephews, Hubert MAXON of Hornell and Harry MAXON of Springville. Three sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. LAHR was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Fillmore, a charter member of the Wide Awake Club, a charter member of Aurora Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge, charter member of the Legion Auxiliary, charter member of the Community Club and a president for many years. She fought the good fight, she finished her course and kept her faith. May her soul rest in peace. Relatives from out of town attending the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. J.M. LAHR from Farmingdale, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert MAXON of Hornell, Guy TOUSLEY of Cuba, and Dr. John LAPP of Chicago, also attended the service.
