Is there anyone on the list that has information on the brick building built in downtown Wellsville in the 1860's or 70's? I have heard of it but know nothing about it. In my husband's great uncle's Civil War Pension Records, he states; "My first work, when I returned to West Almond, after the war was helping my brother, Judson, in his store in Wellsville." I thought I remembered it was a Samuel Carpenter who built this building. If so, I would like to find out which of the four (I think there was 4 at this time) Samuel Carpenters it was. Or could it have been my husbands grandfather. Or was the store mentioned in the records a different one? Thanks, Dawn C./So. CA
