Hi List, New to this list, looking for Jane Tallmadge b. 1796-98 daughter of Seymour Tallmadge/Talmadge/Talmage/Tolmich & his wife Sarah(Hait/Hoyt)Tallmadge. She(Jane) married Abraham Cressy/Crissy/Crissey, they belonged to the Canaan Parish in New Canaan, CT & got a letter of removal in 1824 to move to NY, first to Genoa, NY and Second Presbyterian Church, believe they were in Broome Co., NY & Saratoga Co. & possibly Cattarugus Co., NY at some period & he ended up in Allegany Co., NY .............remarried in 1830 to Cynthia Townsend who was from Steuben Co., NY. Abraham is buried in a Family only cemetery(Townsend Cemetery) plot at that time & down 2 spaces are 2 older children with Cressy name, who I believe are his children from Jane because they couldn't be buried there unless family. So, think something happened to Jane between 1826 & 1829. I have Abraham & Cynthia's history, just need some on Jane, her parents & possibly her brother James Tallmadge. Just a note also, going into the familysearch & others I see someone has incorrect info on my family of Crissey's & I see why people get incorrect info, very frustrating that these people or Ancestry latches on things in our messages & it is sometimes wrong as we are searching also!
