Hello Cousin!!!! I'd love to share what I have and learn what you have gathered. I did my thesis on early Allegany Co. settlement, and Benjamin is the patriarch of the Maxson group that first came here in 1827!!! My g-g-grandmother left stories of coming on the Erie Canal, wolves, cougars and bears (oh, my!), and log cabins and strangers coming to the house and all kinds of wonderful stories. If you want to correspond off-list, I'm at [email protected] Talk to you soon!! I'm on the Executive Board for the Maxson Family Association. It's a great resource. Interested in any kind of Maxson Family Info.
