Yes, some of this rings a bell. A cousin of my mother's completed an Application to the DAR in which she indicated that a George A. Wixon born November 21, 1809 location unknown and died in 1873 location unknown. George was married to Emily Taylor who was born March 1811 location unknown and death unknown. They were married July 1830 location unknown. These were the parents of my Jonathan Taylor Wix(s)on. Jonathan was born June 1842. Jonathan was my gg grandfather. It might be a connection since the application mentions that George was the son of Reuben Wixon of Dutchess County, NY. Do you have additonal information on this family you would be willing to share? Thanks for any assistance.
